Hoosier Darling

Once in awhile lightening strikes. In just such a chance, three women blended their voices in love of song and harmony.  Their talents became Hoosier Darlinga band from Bloomington, Indiana who "lend impressive skills on a variety of instruments to performances with a unique approach to highly polished vocal harmonies." (D. James Grundmann, WFHB 93.1/98.3).

Hoosier Darling has performed in auditoriums, nightclubs, festivals and theaters, and is great comic relief at the quarterly WFHB Firehouse Follies, working under the pseudonym The Gozpel Gurlz—regular members of an acting troop providing musical interludes on live radio. Their lush harmonies and quick wit are electric and the transition to performing together outside the radio format was a logical next step. Boom!  In 2014 their CD "Hoosier Darling" led to increased requests for appearances at festivals and special events, expanding their exposure nationally.  A second CD of original music is in the works to highlight their trademark influences: pop, blues, doo-wop, and standards.  Humorous tunes don't hurt either.  Sarah Flint, Suzette Weakley and Ginger Curry are Hoosier Darling.
